Hello and welcome to metamake.com. This is an irregularly updated diary/portfolio of work from the different areas of my practice: photography, graphic design, music and the occasional sortie into writing, film and other media. You will also find links to other websites that published my work.
As I’m yet to find a satisfying way of documenting webdesign work, I can only include links to some examples of websites that I’ve designed:
stattknast.de
collectif-anonyme.org
frikflow.com
roderickdarby.de
playgroundlife.net
alexandra-vonderwehl.de
Last but definitely not least, I haven’t included any reference to my teaching work here, also for lack of visual or written material about it. I was/am involved in different capacities in Vétomat, Gecekondu and Local Squares, and I regularly lead photography, webdesign and screenprinting workshops with school classes ranging from 6th to 11th grade in Medienetage and other spaces run by WeTeK Berlin. In 2017 and 2018 I have also led the screenprinting studio at Stattknast, a berliner facility in which young offenders are assisted in the aftermath of a conviction.

Why metamake?
While some overarching focal points of my work have emerged in time, I have never strived for a consistent practice in terms of concepts, media or aesthetics, and while some of my output is dictated by the jobs I get – which I have limited influence on – much of it stems from my own keenness for experimentation with different formats, tools and approaches. Rather than compartmentalising my work into several smaller portfolios, I designed this site as a broad container to present as many branches of my practice as possible and to reflect its beautiful confusion. Plus, its format allows to present snapshots, fragments and sketches next to more elaborate works.
meta as the overarching common aspect to all of it and make because everything on this site is the result of a practice and a craft.
